Western Springs – Western Springs is located approximately 16 miles from Chicago. Incorporated in 1886, the village earned its name from the water of its clear springs that existed when the area was settled. The Water Tower, which is located in the middle of town at the Village Green, is the village symbol. While the springs have disappeared, the Village today thrives on a growing, affluent population, a healthy local business economy, and Village government attuned to the needs of its residents and businesses. The absence of industry, excellent accessibility to transportation, quaint downtown, safe residential neighborhoods, “community ambiance” and a commitment to family values has made Western Springs a highly desirable location for families to put down roots.

Transportation – The village has one stop on the Metra Commuter Rail Line. Interstate 294 (the Tri-State Tollway) sits at the suburb’s northwest comer. Interstate 88 (the Eisenhower Expressway) is north of the village and Interstate 55 (the Stevenson Expressway) is south of the village. Western Springs is also served by the Pace Suburban Bus System.
