Burr Ridge – Burr Ridge is located approximately 19 miles from Chicago just off of the Stevenson Expressway. The country atmosphere draws residents today. Burr Ridge is known for its distinctive upscale homes in quiet residential rural subdivisions. Newer homes in the area offer state-of-the-art luxury amenities and beautiful settings. The burr oak leaf village emblem denotes the stand of burr oak trees on a ridge along County Line Road near Plainfield Road. The village also includes a planned mix of five office parks and retail areas. Harvester Park and other parks in the village offer sports and recreation activities for the whole family all year through the Burr Ridge Park District.

Transportation – Village residents and businesses benefit from easy-to-access arterial roads and highways that connect with Chicago, neighboring towns, and a variety of nearby attractions. Just a short merge away, Stevenson Expressway (I-55), the Tri-State Tollway (294), and Illinois Hwy 83 provide convenient and direct routes to O’Hare International Airport, 21 miles to the north; Chicago 19 miles to the northeast; and Midway Airport 12 miles to the east. Commuters and day visitors enjoy worry-free rides to Chicago on Burlington Northern trains, which arrive and depart almost hourly on weekdays, from stations in nearby Clarendon Hills, Hinsdale, and Western Springs. Pace Bus provides a Park-n-Ride service which enables commuters to leave their cars at County Line Shopping Center in Burr Ridge and hitch a bus ride to the Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills or Western Springs train station or ride the bus all the way to Chicago’s Loop.

Willowbrook – Willowbrook is located about 18 miles outside of Chicago. The village grew from the Ridgemoor subdivision and prides itself on creating open green spaces for recreation. Willowbrook took its name from the willow trees surrounding the area. The leaf remains the village symbol today. Recreation programs and the newer Indian Prairie Public Library are enjoyed by all residents.

Transportation – The village’s easy access to Kingery Highway (Route 83), the Tri-State Tollway (Interstate 294) and the Stevenson Expressway (Interstate 55) make it a popular location for access to the City of Chicago, neighboring towns, variety of nearby attractions and the county. Gower Elementary District 62 Elementary students attend either Gower Elementary District 62, Maercker Elementary District 60 or Hinsdale Elementary District 181. High school students attend either Hinsdale Central or Hinsdale South High School in District 86.

Parks, Recreation & Sports – The Willowbrook Parks and Recreation Department operates more than 55 acres of parks. Many of the parks are linked by trails, and the parks department has an active program in place to encourage residents to walk the village.
